I is for Inspiration
Inspiration is one of the most important tools in the author’s toolbox. Without it, we’re really just scribbling nonsensical words on the page. Without inspiration, books, poems, blog posts and even essays for school just don’t happen.
I’ve been fortunate in that I’m not one of those writers who talks about only having one story in them to tell. I could probably write novels full-time for the next 20 years and still not run out of crazy ideas to spin into plots. I’m a big fan of my muse most days for giving this seemingly never-ending supply of inspiration.
Unfortunately, the well’s run dry today. I have zero inspiration to write about inspiration today.
Irony?
So, instead of me blathering on about absolutely nothing for another 400 words or so, I’d rather turn it over to y’all. What inspires you? It doesn’t have to be about writing if that’s not your thing. This is a comment free for all…but a focused free for all. Who knows? Maybe hearing you talk about what inspires you will keep me inspired to write tomorrow’s topic.
And you really want me to be inspired to talk about this one if you’re looking for some inside scoopage on my suspense series…
Next up: J is for Jackson Caldwell
*I’m aware that the picture has nothing to do with the topic, but…they’re Legos, y’all. Too bad it wasn’t a Lego dragon. That would’ve been perfect…
